Edgar A Battershell, 85, died Sunday, February 27th at this home in Bird Island, Minnesota after several months illness. A former resident of Henning, Mr Battershell was the son of Simpson and Mary Berry Battershell. Surviving are his wife, Mae; a son, Lloyd of Minneapolis; a daughter, Mrs Dorothy Pryor of Des Moines, Iowa; a sister, Sylvia Lewis of Champaign; and four brothers, Charles Battershell of Pocahontas, Iowa, Sam Battershell of San Francisco, California, Fred Battershell of Champaign and Enis Battershell of Rossville.Funeral services were held Wednesday at Bird Island with burial in Pocahontas, Iowa.
