Doris Jean Eversgerd, 80 of Nashville, passed away at 9:28 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at her residence. She was born on January 21, 1943 in Centralia the daughter of James and Jesse Altom Cook. She married Firmin "Gus" Eversgerd on November 28, 1964 in Centralia and he passed away on April 5, 2022. Besides her husband of 58 years, she was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers; David, Steven, Roy and John Cook and 4 sisters; Pearl Neuhaus, Helen Klingenberg, Mary Kyles and Zelda Cook.

Doris loved watching her hummingbirds out the window and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone into her home like they were family. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by many.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. lead by Brother Rob Mathis. Cremation will take place following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nashville chapter of the Catholic Daughters.
