H. S. EARL DIED SUDDENLY TUESDAY EVENING
H. S. Earl died suddenly at his home on Beckwith Drive. Tuesday Feb. 19 at 6 o'clock of heart trouble Although he had been in poor health for several years and since Nov. 11, confined to his home until 5 weeks ago, his condition was serious and recovery doubtful. Mr. Earl was born on the farm now owned by Upjohn south of the river, Oct. 22. 1848 and has lived his life in Galesburg. He was married to Luella Farr 43 years ago last Sept. Born to them were two children. Mary E. now Mrs. Milford of Sacramento, Calif. and Royal Earl of Pacific Grove, Calif. Mr. Earl was a member of the Woodman Lodge of Kalamazoo He leaves beside his wife and two children, 3 grandsons and a niece Ethel Crossfield Bailey, of Columbus, Ohio. The funeral services will be held at the M. E. Church, Friday Feb. 22 at one o'clock. Burial will be made in the Riverside Cemetery near his old home south of the river. Rev Harris officiating.
