John H. Legh-Page passed away peacefully on October 23, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 26, 1952, in to George and Joyce (Blair) Legh-Page. John graduated in 1969 from Wheeling High School in Wheeling, IL and went on to take some classes at Harper College. John most recently worked as an Engineering Executive for Rockwell Collins playing a key role in mergers and acquisitions. He previously served as CIO for AR Group, but, most importantly, facilitated patents for the company. Throughout his long career, John was an entrepreneur, managed successful businesses, and was an extraordinary salesman. John was an adventurer with many passions. He truly enjoyed the flavor of life. He willingly tried what many of us are usually afraid to do. He was an avid diver with Gigglin' Marlin Dive Club and even became a dive master. He also enjoyed fishing, traveling the world, and motorcycle riding. John loved his Honda Goldwing and was a member of Riders of Texas Motorcycle Club, participating in cross country trips with his fellow bikers. Above all else, John's most treasured passion was entertaining family and friends and sharing special experiences with his grandchildren. John was a dedicated family man and friend. He is survived by his wife, Luz Serrano; son Jahn C. (Kimberly) Legh-Page of Fresno, CA; daughters Nadine (Tim) Farquer of Williamsfield, IL and Sherry (Mark) Wisdom of DeKalb, IL; stepdaughters Yanin (Justin) Smith and Michelle (David) Nester of Houston, TX; grandchildren Austin Wisdom, Alex Wisdom, Ben Farquer, Olivia Farquer, Cade Farquer, Accalia Legh-Page, Liliana Smith, Maddie Nester, and Sam Nester. He is also survived by brothers George, Robert, and James Legh-Page; sisters Kathy Klippel, Debbie Ellington, and Cherelyn Smith; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Virginia Legh-Page. John's passing will be felt by all of the many people that he touched. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at the Downtown Houston Aquarium, Nautilus Ballroom (3rd floor) on Saturday, October 29, 2016, from 1:00-4:00pm.
