John Francis Adkins was survived by his Daughter: Kimberly M. Gourd, Adopted Son: Joseph Early Adkins, Grand Children: Courtney, Kenzie, Michael Gourd and Brother Gary Adkins. He was preceeded in Death by his Wife. Virginia, his Parents, and Nine of his Siblings. He graduated from Waynesville High School in Missouri. Served in the US Army and the US Airforce. He spent the last part of his life on the Southern Cherokee Reservation, in Oklahoma. He was very proud of his Ancestry. He had a great personality and always loved to laugh. His ashes are to scattered at the family farm in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri
