Louise Adolph Obituary

Louise Irene Adolph entered the Kingdom of Heaven on May 21, 2023. She was a kind and loving soul who always said her greatest gift in life was her four children. Louise was born on April 4th, 1930 the daughter of Samuel and Katie (Nafts) Wittman. She spent the first years of her life in the Pryor Creek area, later moving to Billings as a young child after the death of her father. After graduating from Senior High School she worked as a teller at a bank. She then met the love of her life, George Adolph and they were united in marriage on August 3rd, 1952. They moved to a farm in the Huntley Project area where they raised their four children Dorita, Gary, Lauretta and Travis.

Over the many years of living on the farm she taught her children the basic values of honesty and hard work – encouraging them always in their faith. She was dedicated to raising an enormous garden which supplied the family with many delicious meals, except for her canned dill pickles, which she proudly proclaimed were horrible. She was quite the domestic goddess, making many German dishes. She and George always faithfully attended all of their children's school events, even while working as the scale lady at the Beet Dump. In her later years, she lived with her family on a smaller farm closer to Worden where she began a second career at the Billings Clinic. After retiring from the Billings Clinic, she spent many happy years volunteering at the Worden Library. Throughout her life she was a faithful servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved to sing "Jesus Loves Me" and many of the old hymns.

Louise is survived by three of her children, Dorita Adolph, Lauretta Adolph and Travis (Margo) Adolph and their children, McKenna, Alex and Ryan, who were the apple of her eye. She is also survived by her sister, Hilda Rymer and her brother, Ronald Wittman. She was proceeded in death by her husband, George, her son Gary, her sister Betty, and her parents, Samuel and Katie.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the friends and staff at St. John's United where Louise resided in her latter years. She was beloved by them and their love, kindness and care is truly appreciated by the family.

Funeral services will be held at American Lutheran Church, 5 Lewis Ave., Billings, MT at 10am on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. A reception to follow the funeral service, interment will take place at the Huntley Cemetery after the reception.

Memorials may be made to St. John's United or charity of one's choice.
