Obituary for Veronica Leown Sloan
Veronica L. (Luttrell) Sloan, 90, went to be with her Lord after a short illness on May 22, 2023. She was born May 18,1933 to Virga and Willie Mae (Patterson) Luttrell in Carnegie, OK.
She graduated from Carnegie High School and later attended Enid Business College earning her secretarial certificate. After earning her certificate, she worked as the secretary for her home church in Enid and the pastors of the church. After working at the church for several years she worked for Caton Lumber also in Enid, OK. After moving back to Bethany, she sold Real Estate for several years before going to work for the State of Oklahoma in the Commissioners of the Land Office School Land Division until Retiring.
Veronica met the love of her life, Bobby Sloan and they were married on September 13, 1952. With this union they were blessed with 3 boys and 2 daughters. She and Bobby traveled extensively throughout the U.S, Mexico, Canada and completely around the world with their church's work and witness Program. She was a longtime member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.
Veronica was preceded in death by her: parents, Virga and Willie; loving husband, Bobby; daughter, Cynthia Jolene Sloan; son, Myron Thomas "Tommy"; sisters, Velma Monard, Dora Holman, Odene Mills; brother Ray Luttrell
She is survived by her:

Sons: Bobby Jr & wife, Tammy Sloan, OKC, OK
Cortis & wife, Carrie Sloan, Tuttle, OK
Sister: Anita Erickson, Anadarko, OK
Brother: Emmitt & wife, Maureen Luttrell, Palmdale, CA
Brother-in-law: Howard Mills, Loganville, GA
Aunt: Ruth Riffee, Cushing, OK
5 grandsons

9 great grandsons,

4 great great grandchildren plus one on the way
She was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends too numerous to mention.
