George Brill, 90, of Des Plaines Illinois passed away unexpectedly on May 11th, 2023. George was born on June 27th, 1932, to Stephen and Katherine Brill in Chicago, Illinois. George honorably, served in the US Army Artillery Unit at Fort Sill for 2 years. He then went on to marry Gwendolyn (nee Gerken) and start their life together in 1957. Throughout his life he had a variety of jobs from working for family members as an auto mechanic in their gas stations to owning / working in his own Shell station as a mechanic for 24 years. He also worked with his brother Steve putting down asphalt for S. Brill Asphalt, and out of necessity created his own sealcoat company, GB Blacktop, sealcoating parking lots and driveways.

George cherished his family, loved going fishing, gardening, sitting by a fire, traveling to watch bowling tournaments, family gatherings, a good game of cards, a good hotdog with his great grandson Grant, pizza with the family, and having his yearly Christmas tree decorating party. Most of all George loved spending as much time with his family as possible, they meant the world to him.

George Brill is preceded in death by his parents Stephen C. and Katherine Brill, his wife Gwendolyn Brill, his brother Stephen Brill, his sister Loraine Doberstein (Jim) and brother Ernie Brill.
