Joy was a registered nurse, certified nurse mid-wife, nursing instructor at Bellarmine University and a traveling public health nursing professional. She attended Beulah Presbyterian Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking and entertaining. She was a "collector of people" and will be missed by family and friends.
Joy is survived by a brother, Joseph B. Brands, Jr. (Sue); nephew, Bill Brands (Heather); great-nieces, Lauren, Hanna, and Hayden Brands; cousins, Gerry Cambron and Nick St. Cavish (Molly) and his children, Christopher St. Cavish and Carinne Rauschenberger.
Joy donated her body to the University of Louisville Willed Body Program. There will be no visitation or services per Joy's request.
