Nita Lee Frances Roberts Stoutjesdyk was born September 11, 1930 in Philadelphia, Mississippi. She had been a resident of Lake 'O The Pines since 1985, formerly living in Plano. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, playing Yahtzee, and watching cartoons with the grandchildren. She loved to love people. She enjoyed bowling, swimming, and had a green thumb for gardening. She rarely sat still. She loved her peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and shared her love for food with her grandkids, as well as spending time with them and telling them bedtime stories.

She married her forever valentine and greatest love, James Henry Stoutjesdyk on March 5, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was the best, most loving wife for 68 years and 75 days. Her favorite thing to do was to sit and visit with James. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, John 3:16.

Nita passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on May 15, 2023 due to dementia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Leroy Roberts and Juanita Posey Roberts; daughter, Belinda Green; grandson, Jonathan McCartan; brothers, Luther and Eddie; and sisters, Hilda and Bernice.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, James Stoutjesdyk of Lake 'O The Pines; three daughters, Jayd Kosowski and husband, Glen of New York, Sandra Stoutjesdyk of Queens City, and Nancy McCartan and husband, John of Garden Valley; son-in-law, Mark Green; brothers, Billy Roberts, Walter Lee Roberts, and Norris Roberts; sisters, Mary Roberts and Margie Hartman; grandchildren, Mikey Kosowski, Dina McGuinness, Gary Green, Anthony Green, Amanda Ashmore, Hannah Brown, Russell Bramblett, Stephanie McCartan, Jimmy McCartan, and Tiffine Cooper; sixteen grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mikey Kosowski, Don Green, Jesse Irwin, Tiffany Cooper, Gary Green, and Anthony Green. Russell Bramblett and Jimmy McCartan will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's association.
