Donald F. Oertley, 79, of 6215 W. Oertley Road died Thursday, Aug. 17, 1995, at his home. Born March 17, 1916, in rural Princeville to Wilbert and Rosena Fritz Oertley, he married M. Helen Waddell on Sept. 3, 1944, in Spring Lake. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Thomas E. of Dunlap; and one daughter, Mrs. Philip (Kathy) Beck of Alpharetta, Ga. One daughter, Stasia Bennett, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
He farmed in rural Princeville for many years, retiring in 1978. He also was an assembler at Caterpillar Inc.'s East Peoria plant for 10 years.
For 58 years he was a member of Princeville Masonic Lodge 360, AF&AM, where he was worshipful master in 1945 and held a life membership. He was a member of Princeville Historical Association and was a charter member of Princeville Lions Club.
Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
