• Services for Alvin Rambo, 54, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Victory Temple Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Keith Lewis officiating. Interment will be at Clearview Cemetery under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.

Born Feb. 22, 1948, in Burneyville, to Easop and Metha Pearson Rambo, he died March 15, 2002, at the local hospital.

He graduated from Marietta High School in 1966 and married Linda Brown on Aug. 9, 1969, in Gainesville, Texas. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad while living in Garland, Texas, then moved to Ardmore, where he worked for Georgia Pacific/Big Chief and Bluebonnet Milling. He was a member of the Victory Temple Church of God in Christ.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Alvina Green, Oklahoma City, Shana Rambo, Francis Byers and Diona Rambo, and a son, Alvin Jr., all of Ardmore; five sisters, Bobbye Downing, California, Janet Johnson, Shreveport, La., Dorothy R. Willis, Neva R. Coleman and Eva Douglass, all of Marietta; eight brothers, Reuben, Nelson, Eugene, Randall and Billy, all of Marietta, Ceasar and Charles, Ardmore; and 12 grandchildren.

Bearers will be C.L. Jones, James Coleman, Dale Johnson, Michael D. Willis, Melvin and Willie E. Douglass.
