Marian Wisenbaker Johnson was born September 8, 1934 in Lake Park, Georgia to Louis Byrd Wisenbaker and Cuba Carter Wisenbaker. She left this life May 7,2023 at her home in Sparr, Florida at the age of 88, with family surrounding and supporting her.

She was salutatorian for her 1951 graduating class at Clyattville School, and married John Frank Johnson of Pinetta, Florida on January 4, 1954, a union of 65 years. She worked at Big Star grocery, as a cashier at Setzers Grocery, at a furniture factory in Madison, as a clerk for International Truck parts in Ocala, and as a teacher's aide at Sparr Elementary School. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Cuba Wisenbaker, her husband, John Frank Johnson, and five brothers: Bobby, Harold, Donald, Wesley and Douglas Wisenbaker, all of Valdosta, Georgia.

She is survived by four children: Linda Cruz (Gregory), Cindy Critchfield, Trish Ricks, and Jeff Johnson (Amanda), all of Marion County. She leaves 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

In addition, she is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Delita and Bruce Barwick, a sister-in-law, Goldie Wisenbaker, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Loyd and Vicki Johnson, all of Valdosta, Georgia. Also, sister-in-law Mary Ann Johnson, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donald and Jackie Johnson, all of Madison, Florida, and sister-in-law Marie Hammond of Pinetta. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as many others whose hearts she touched.

Marian was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She and her husband enjoyed traveling in the RV far and wide across this country. They both relished fresh-grown vegetables from the garden. She enjoyed family gatherings and celebrations, especially with the grandkids. She excelled at word games and puzzles, as well as jigsaw puzzles. Many family members benefited from her canvas needlework hobby. She mastered a Smartphone and tablet at the age of 86, often teaching tricks to other members of the family. She thoroughly liked receiving texts and pics; and had managed to put an entire collection of old photographs on her devices. She played a variety of versions of Solitaire on the phone as well. She will be remembered for her kindness, her quick wit, her kitchen skills, and her intelligence, as well as putting up with her husband Frank for 65 years.

There will be a one-hour visitation period from 11 am to 12 pm prior to the funeral service which will begin at 12 pm, at Beggs Funeral Home in Madison, Florida on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Burial will follow at Mt Horeb Cemetery in Pinetta, Florida. Pallbearers will be Jacob Ricks, Aaron Ricks, Jeff Johnson, John Johnson, Stephen Cruz, Nathan Johnson, Daniel Owen, and Rusty Krumm.

Officiants will be son-in-law Gregory Cruz, and brother-in-law, Bruce Barwick, Jr.
