Karen Sue Griffin age 75 of Carey, formerly of Fostoria, died on May 7, 2023 at Ohio State University Hospital. She was born in Akron on June 6, 1947 to the late Earl and Opal (Crew) Broadwater. On May 6, 1967 she married Ronald L. Griffin, who survives along with children Brenda (Dennis) Rowlison, OR, Jim Griffin, Bowling Green, Scott (Annette "Sarge") Griffin of Fostoria, Brad Griffin, Findlay, Bruce Griffin, Upper Sandusky, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a brother Mike (Gloria) Broadwater, Fostoria, a sister Sharon (Roger) Thomas, Findlay. Karen and Ron helped raise and guide Angela (Kammeyer) Crippen of Swanton and Zach Kammeyer of Fostoria. She is preceded in death by brothers Earl L. Broadwater and Larry Broadwater.

Karen was a 1966 graduate of Carey High School. She and her husband owned and operator RK We Clean for 23 years. Karen was a lifetime active member of Ridge Chapel Church of the Nazarene, where she served on the church board, was past President of the missionaries, and a Sunday school teacher.

For hobbies she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking and was known as the supplier of cookies, cakes and pies. Karen was a powerhouse who was brave and courageous. She never knew a stranger and was giving to anyone in need. Karen was the family jokester which fit her loving and caring personality. When it came to her children she was their biggest cheerleader and greatest supporter. Her and Ron shared a special love and she will be forever missed.

Funeral services will be Sat. May 13, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in the Ridge Chapel Church of the Nazarene, Carey with Pastors Waitman Hager and David Flack officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Arcadia. Visitation is on Fri. May 12, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home and 9:30-10:30 on Sat. May 13, 2023 at the church before services.
