Allen Wiens, 67, passed away July 31, 2015 at his home in Buhler. He was born August 28, 1947, in Hutchinson the son of Jacob and Martha Schroeder Wiens. He was a carpenter, a member of the Buhler Mennonite Church and the Buhler Jaycee's. On July 19, 1970 he married Carol Ann Barth at Buhler. She passed away on November 11, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, Brenda Wiens (Jeremy Evan Sundgren) of Gainesville, FL, Becky Wiens of Hutchinson, Sarah (Aaron) Morgan of De Pere, WI, Aaron Wiens of Buhler and Emily (Travis) Thrasher of Russell, KS, 4 grandchildren, 1 brother, Jerry D. Wiens of Hutchinson, and 2 sisters, Donna M. Dick of Wichita, and Janice L. Overman of Newton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Buhler Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, August 3, 2015 at Buhler Mennonite Church, Buhler with Pastor Willmar Harder officiating. Burial will be in the Hebron Cemetery, Buhler. Memorials may be sent to either the Buhler Mennonite Church or Hospice of Reno County in care of Buhler Mortuary, 120 North Main, Buhler, Kansas 67522.
