Funeral Service for Jimmy Ashley, 68 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Murry Spur Freewill Baptist in Spiro, Oklahoma with Reverend Lee Rogers and Reverend C.L. Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.

He was born on February 6, 1955 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Deloris Herrin and James Neal Ashley and passed away on May 6, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Debbie (Gaston) Ashley on January 17, 1974 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Darrell Ashley. Jim graduated from Lone Grove High School in Lone Grove, Oklahoma in 1973. Jim worked numerous jobs in the Oil and Gas Industry, retiring in 2017 from OGP Operating. He was also a Veteran serving in the United States Army from 1974-1977. He served stateside as well as Germany.

Jimmy was an active member of Murry Spur Free Will Baptist Church in Spiro, Oklahoma. Everyone who knew him, knew his passion was race cars, roping, his Harley, and restoring his Caballero, Family, especially his granddaughter, Rylee, whom he told everyday that she was the most beautiful girl in the world. He was also very fond of his four legged baby, Sally.

Survivors include his loving wife, Debbie of the home; sons, Justin Ashley of Spiro, Cody Ashley and wife Heather of Spiro; sister, Debbie Worchester and husband Danny of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; Granddaughter, Rylee Ashley of Spiro; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces & Nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dale Ashley, Bill Priddy, Justin Martin, Mike Tippit, Bubba Conrad, and Keith Craig.
