son of Nettie S and Cecil B Delauter. He spent his early years living on the D.M. Wertz Farm, Waynesboro. Alfie graduated from Waynesboro Senior High School with the class of 1964. Mr. Delauter worked on the D.M. Wertz Farm and Welty's Farm. In later years, he worked for Baer's Filling Station and the Rouzerville Fabrication Company until he retired due to his health. He was a member of Refuge Tabernacle near Zullinger, PA and a former member of the Order of the Owl's Nest #1073 of Waynesboro and the Rouzerville Fish and Game Association.
Alfie is survived by two daughters: Gail A. Tracey husband Robert L of Waynesboro and Sarah K. Hege husband Jamie N of Zullinger; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; four sisters: Carolyn M. Bailey, Joyce L. Needy and Betty E. Reynolds all of Waynesboro, Miriam J. Massa, New Port Richey, FL; one brother: Robert T. Delauter, Ebensburg, PA and a number nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Orville D. Delauter and Cecil B. Delauter, Jr.
