Delcia Mae Adkins, 83, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Philo, died at 3 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 11, 2006) at Lawrenceville Manor, Lawrenceville.
Mrs. Adkins was born June 26, 1923 in North Springs, Tennessee, a daughter of Raymond and Cindy Price Cross. She married Samuel M. "Jack" Adkins on Oct. 12, 1940 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. He died Sept. 7, 1987. She was also preceded in death by a son, two grandsons and two brothers.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Adkins, Tim Adkins Sr. and Henry Adkins; three daughters, Joan Mattingly, Linda Seaton and Sue Ingram; two brothers, Ted Cross and James Cross; three sisters, Ellen Turner, Hazel White and Ruth Bohall; 46 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Adkins was a homemaker.
