Cristobal Morales, age 73, of Lorain, died Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Mercy Health Lorain Hospital following a lengthy illness.Born October 20, 1949, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, he came to Lorain in 1952.Cristobal graduated from Admiral King High School in 1968, then served three years in the US Army as a Specialist 4.After 35 years, Cristobal retired in 2003 from Lorain Works US Steel as an inspector. He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain and enjoyed gardening, fishing, boating, and spending time with his family.Surviving is his companion of 26 years, Robin Artidiello; children, Jennifer Morales, Chloe Morales, and Joseph Morales; grandchildren, Mariah Morales, Carly Guzman, and Emma Morales; his siblings, Aquilino (Eloina) Morales, Angelo (Elena) Morales, Emma (Guillermo) Quinones, Carmelo (Alicia) Morales, Delores (Enrique) Longo, and Theresa (Luis) Figueroa.He was preceded in death by his parents, Aquilino and Inocencia (nee Melendez) Morales; sister, Amelia; brother, Luis as well as his beloved dogs, Jackie and Ginger.The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
