Roy Beard, age 82, of Crockett passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at his home. Roy was born May 27, 1940 in Houston County to parents, Nat Elonzo Beard and Sarah Sharp Beard. He was in the last graduating class of Austonio High School and worked and retired from U. S. Postal service as a rural mail carrier. Roy was a family man who loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by parents, Nat and Sarah Beard; brother, Charlie Beard; sisters, Mary Rider, Mickey Reed, Infant Sister.
Funeral services for Roy Beard will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Terry Gibson and Pastor Leon Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Hill Cemetery.
