Mrs. Rider passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Trucare Living Center. She was born February 21, 1930 in Crockett, Texas to Nat Elonzo and Sarah Lee Sharp Beard. Mrs. Rider worked as a telephone operator for the telephone company. She attended New Life Community Church. Mrs. Rider was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed Rider, a son Mike Coody, and a brother Charlie Beard. She is survived by a son David Rider and wife Courtney, a brother Roy Beard and grandchildren, David Rider, Jr. and Colton Rider.Pallbearers will be Colton Rider, David McClendon, Danny Beard, Ray Morgan, Danny Rider, Gene Clifton, George Crawford and Jerry Robison.
Services for Mary Rider age 88 of Palestine will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Rev. Doug Washburn officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Maydell.
