Robert Lee Roberts, 82, of Linton, passed away at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Lyons Health and Living Center. He was born in Linton, August 14, 1925, the son of William John Roberts and Conza McCammon Barnard. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Bethel Community Church of Dugger, American Legion Post No. 22 of Linton, and retired from N. A. D. Crane. Survivors include: his wife, Georgia Stanton Roberts; four sons, Terry Roberts of Greenwood, Danny Roberts of Switz City, Bill Roberts of Fishers, and Tony Roberts of Linton; two brothers, Bill Roberts of Linton and Raymond Barnard of Dugger; two sisters; Connie Jewell of Linton, and Mary Helen Massey of Terre Haute; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one brother; Larry Barnard. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Rev. Cletus Bough officiating. Burial in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Dugger with Military graveside rites by the Linton American Legion.
