Death of Hollie O. Johnson, 43, of 2036 Cleveland St., occurred Sunday at 1:35 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital, where he had been ill with pneumonia and complications since Oct. 24.
He had operated the Johnson Welding and machine Shop here 12 years.
The funeral was set for 2 p.m. Monday at Brown-Roden Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Theodore McElroy of First Christian Church, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers were S. M. Smith, James Horne, Ben Van Glohn, R. E. Reed, Z. L. Turner and Buryl Johnson.
Surviving are Mrs. Johnson, formerly Miss Nodie Wicks of Honey Grove, whom he married Nov. 11, 1923; one son, Billy Floyd Johnson, U.S. Naval Training Center, San Diego, Calif., his father, R. R. Johnson, now of Los Angeles, California and these brothers and sisters, Cleo D. Johnson, Handley, Mrs. Stella Bell, Bonham, Mrs. Jack Clark, Los Angeles, J. N. Johnson, Odessa, and Mrs. J. H. Cox, Dallas.
Mr. Johnson was born in Tennessee, June 24, 1902, but came to Lamar County in childhood, the family living in Forest Hill Community. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
