Bentz, Gladys Age 94, Formerly of Chippewa Falls, WI, died Jan. 23, 2001, in St. Louis Park, MN. Born July 23, 1906 in Milwaukee to Marie (Olson) and Jens Andersen, she graduated from Milwaukee Girls Trade School in tailoring. She worked for three years at Wadham's Oil Co. in Milwaukee. Gladys married Howard C. Benz on Oct. 25, 1928, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. They lived in Milwaukee, moving to Rio, to Florida, and to Chippewa Falls in 1957. Howard preceded her in death on July 19, 2000. Survivors are her son, Orrin Bentz of Grand Rapids, MN; grandsons, Troy and Nicholas Bentz; a sister, Marion Geddert of Milwaukee; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 AM, Sat., Feb 3, at Faith Lutheran Church, with Burial following at Forest Hill Cemetery, both in Chippewa Falls.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls, is serving the family.
