Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Jens Andersen, 81, a resident of the South Side for 60 years, who died Friday at his home, 1536 S. 30th St.

The rites will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Voth and Anderson Chapel, 2427 W. National Av. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery. The body will be at the chapel after 4 p.m. Monday.

Born in Norway, Mr. Andersen came to Milwaukee when 21. He was employed at the Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Co. for 50 years, retiring five years ago. Previously, he sailed the Great Lakes for three years.

He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church for 43 years, and served as deacon at one time.

Surviving are his wife, Marie Olsen Andersen; six daughters, Mrs. Margaret Snyder, Amarillo, Tex.; Mrs. Alice Bertling, Mrs. Hilda Porath, Mrs. Gladys Bentz, Mrs. Ruth Sigel and Mrs. Marion Geddert, and two sons, Walter and Arthur, the latter of Dumont, N. J.
