William Emmett "Bubba" Trivett, Jr., 68, of Powhatan, VA went to his heavenly home on Thursday, April 6, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Clara Alley Trivett and William E. Trivett, Sr.; daughter, Amy Jane Trivett; and his son, William E. Trivett, III.
Bubba never met a stranger. The friendships he made from childhood and beyond endured throughout his life. He was a loving husband, brother, father and grandfather. He grew up in Mechanicsville, Va. and carried fond memories of being on the Mechanicsville All Stars little league team throughout his life. His love of baseball led him to later build a team of co-workers, friends and family to compete in the Hanover Men's Softball League.
After graduating from Lee Davis High School in 1972, he worked his way up the ladder in sales in the fresh produce and specialty foods business with Safeway International and Old Colony Food Distributors. He later embarked on a new career path in landscaping and lawn care, co-owning A Natural Lawn of America franchise, and then his own company, Code Green Lawn Care.
Bubba would not hesitate to say that God was first and foremost in his life. He was always seeking opportunities to share the gospel, and to bear witness to the ways God had worked in his life. Even in adversity, he was telling anyone who would listen of the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ and the path to salvation.
Left to cherish William's memory is his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Turner Trivett; children, Clara Hope Trivett, Clint Warren Trivett, and Heather Jo Trivett; grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Trivett, Brooke Amy Trivett, Lindsey Grace Trivett, and Kaitlyn Leigh Trivett; siblings, Susan T. Clegg (Mike), John E. Trivett (Janet), Shirley T. Scott (Brad), Teresa T. Myers (Carl); nieces and nephews, Jessica Hall, Jennifer Cook, John E. Trivett, Jr., C.J. Myers, Josh Meyers, Bekah Myers, Bethany Arnold, Stacey C. Kelley, Rana Nicole Navarrete, Eli Clegg, Rachael Porcher, Jodi Johnson, Brad Scott, Jr., and Hannah Burhoe; as well as many extended family members and friends.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229 where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Westhampton Memorial Park.
