Charley Eckert of Harrah died Friday. He was 88. He was born to Gottlieb and Cora Hamilton Eckert December 2, 1911 northeast of Harrah.
Survivors include his wife, Velma, of the home; two sons, Charles Eckert of Choctaw and John Eckert of Dallas, Texas; five daughters, Hilda Ney of Oklahoma City, Joan Glouse of Missouri, Shirley Eckert of Harrah, Delinda Sturges of Oklahoma City and Delores Hendricks of Tennessee; fifteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Asa Smith Funeral Chapel located in Harrah with burial at Jamison Cemetery located northeast of Harrah.
