Our dear mother Phyllis Monroe sadly passed away peacefully on April 14 2023, at the age of 90 surrounded by family. She was born in Gratis, OH to Stanley & Ruby Cooper and moved to Eaton, OH where she was a wonderful mother and raised her children Karen, Terrence "Butch" & Michael. She was best known for always being there for family in a time of need, love of Elvis Presley music memorabilia, always rooting on the Cincinnati Reds, and her whimsical sweet tooth! She was loved by her children Karen Nicoson & her husband Doug, Terrance Monroe & Michael Monroe & his wife Kathy. She leaves behind so many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Phyllis is also survived by her sister Delores Duncil & Dorthy "Ricky" Cooper. She was preceded in death by daughter Karen & parents Stanley & Ruby Cooper, brothers Jack Cooper, & Paul Duncil. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at the Gard Funeral Home (formerly Lindloff-Zimmerman), 113 Ada Doty Street, Gratis, OH.
