Hervey W. "Herb" Ashcraft, Salina, formerly of Bogue, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005.

He was born Sept. 12, 1924, in Monongahela, Pa., to Wilson S. and Verna (Speaker) Ashcraft.

He married Rosie M. Ashcraft on Sept. 16, 1949, in Great Bend. He was a retired pumper for Fina Oil Co.

Survivors include his wife, of the home, a son, Mike Ashcraft, Hays; a daughter, Cheryl Mitchell, Salina; three brothers, Dick Ashcraft, Brookings, Ore., Ray Ashcraft, Cartersville, Ga., and Galen Ashcraft, Lincoln, Neb.; two sisters, Shirley Dunn, Hutchinson, and Rita Ashcraft, Warner Robins, Ga.; five grandchildren; and a step great-grandson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Salina; graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. at Crestview Cemetery, rural McPherson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church, Salina, or Alzheimer's Support Group of Salina.

Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg, was in charge of arrangements.
