When he was two years old the family moved to Greenwood County, Kansas, where he spent the remainder of his life.

He became a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church at the age of eighteen and attended the Enterprise Academy the following year. He took an active part in church affairs.

He was united in marriage to Mildred Indermill on February 15, 1932. and to this union were born three children, Glenn Earl, 9; Daryl Dean, 6; and Marlys Joy, 2.

His upright Christian character, his willingness to help others, and his cheerful disposition endeared him to many friends. The adored "big brother" will be sadly missed by his family.

He became ill November 10th and was taken November 20th to the Wesley Hospital at Wichita. He returned to his home December 18th, where for a short time he seemed to be improving in health. He suffered a relape and was taken to the home of his mother in Eureka, February 1, where everything was done for him that loving hands could do.
