Maria Emiliana (Rael) Quintana, 79, of Albuquerque New Mexico and a former resident of Santa Rosa, New Mexico, passed away Monday, Monday, April 3, 2023, peacefully in her South Valley home. Maria was born August 29, 1943, in Cuervo, New Mexico, to the home of Miquelita (Aragon) and Maximiliano Rael.
Maria worked for Furr's Cafeteria for many years, she loved all her customers and coworkers; and missed them all after her retirement.
Maria loved spending time with her family and friends but especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Isabel Quintana; her parents, Miquelita (Aragon) and Maximiliano Rael; daughter, Annette Salvato; grandson, Richard Leggiere; sisters, Antonia Urban, Rose Rael, Pat Duarante, and Angelina Quintana; brothers, Nicolas Aragon, Cecilio Rael, and Cecil Rael; and brother-in-law, Chester Bradford.
Maria is survived by her children: Maxine Reavis of Albuquerque; Maria Miera of Northglenn, CO; Roxann (Sugar) Garcia of Albuquerque; and Emiliano Quintana Rael of Albuquerque; grandchildren: Michael Paiz, Kathy Paiz, Amanda Salazar, Anthony Rivera, Jose Sullivan, Julian Ortiz, and Vicente; many great-grandchildren; sister, Esmeralda Bradford; brother, Carlos Perea (Mary Lou) of Tucumcari, NM; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives; and many friends.
