Nila Elaine Martin, age 76 of Elkhart, IN, died at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at her son's residence.
Nila was born on April 18, 1946 in Nappanee, IN to Ezra and Lydia (Martin) Martin.
She lived her entire life in the Nappanee/Wakarusa, IN area and
on August 23, 1964 she married Lloyd Martin in Nappanee.
He preceded her in death on November 25, 2016.
Mrs. Martin was a member of the Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church.
She is survived by 4 sons: Todd (Valerie) Martin of Claypool, IN, Lonnie (Norine) Martin of Mentone, IN, DeLynn (Lavonne) Martin of Elkhart, and Edward (Janet) Martin of Whittemore, MI; 27 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren;
4 brothers: Lowell Martin of Nappanee, Carl Martin of Goshen, Robert (Elsie) Martin of Snover, MI, and Dean (Marciel) Martin of Nappanee;
and 1 sister, Mable Martin of Goshen.
Nila was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter, Erica Sue Martin and a great granddaughter, Chantaya Joy Miller.
Visitation will be held at the Ramer Mennonite Youth Center (RMYC) on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 1-4 and 6-8 pm.
A funeral service will then be held at 10 am on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church. Home ministries of the church will officiate and
burial will be in the Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church Cemetery.
