Arda J. Lasher, age 71 years, farmer of east Franklin Twp. (Kittanning R.D. 3), died suddenly at his home Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 25, 1947. He was born in Armstrong Co. July 4, 1875, the son of Wyland and Catherine (Frick) Lasher. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Mimmie (Croyle) Lasher and the following children, Mrs. Hobert Wolf (Alma) Adrian R.D. 1, Raymond Lasher, McGrann, Mrs. Albert (Gladys) Mohney, McGrann, Mrs. Raymond (Bertha) Palmer, Pittsburgh, Alfred Lasher, Pittsburgh, Emmett Lasher, Adrian R.D. 1, Swartz Lasher, Kittanning. Wyland Lasher, Pittsburgh, Mrs. (Willerd) Cogley, New Bethlehem, 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, two sisters Mrs. Edward Schaffer (Nerve) Kittanning, Mrs. (Maud) Ambrose Bowser, West Kittanning, five brothers, James and William Lasher, New Kensington, John Lasher, Wilkinsburg, Dr. Lemmuel Lasher, Erie, and Loben Lasher, California. Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in Limestone Church of God, with the Rev. J.L. Hull officiating, burial in the Church Cemetery.

Funeral services for A.J. Lasher of East Franklin township, who died unexpectedly in his home Tuesday morning, were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Limestone Church of God with the pastor, Rev. J.L. Hull in charge. Assisting in the service was Rev. Walter Kennedy, pastor of Templeton and Goheenville Presbyterian churches. Mrs. Edward Johns and Mrs. Harry Elder sang "Just inside the Eastern Gate," "We are going Down the Valley" and "Over the Border Line." Burial was made in the church cemetery. Casket bearers were William Wally, Earl Wally, James Croyle, Herbert Walker, Frank Meinie, William Gray, Harry Rearic and Claude Lasher.
