He was a son of the late John Albert and Della Blanche (Hornbaker) Timmons.
Mr. Timmons was a 1944 graduate of Greencastle High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Gettysburg United Methodist Church, the Albert J. Lentz Post 202 American Legion in Gettysburg, The Good Samaritan Masonic Lodge in Gettysburg and a former member of the Gettysburg Country Club and Golf Team Play at Flatbush and Cedar Ridge Golf Courses.
He was employed by the Bringman's Insurance Agency in Gettysburg for 39 years, retiring in 1989.
Glen is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patty Lightner Timmons; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
