Anchorage resident Robert James Rourick, 71, died Feb. 20 at Providence Hospital. A Mass of Christian burial was at Our Lady of Guadelupe Catholic Church. The Rev. Arthur Lopilato officiated. Pallbearers included Mike Rourick, Tim Selk, James Frazier, Paul Frazier, Bob Adams and Todd Seeley. Burial was this spring in the Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, downtown, with Rosary.

Mr. Rourick was born April 19, 1922, in Brayton, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and came to Alaska in September 1953. He worked in Anchorage as an automobile service manager.

Mr. Rourick is survived by his wife, Norma of Anchorage; his daughters, Karen Frazier of Palmer and Susan Colligan of Anchorage; his son, Mike of Eagle River; his brothers, Jack, Dick and Don of Alameda, Calif., and Frank of Atlantic, Iowa; and his sisters, Pearl Mailander of Wiota, Iowa, and Mary Ostrander of Council Bluffs, Iowa; six grandchildren, James, Cathy and Paul Frazier, Marian and Garrett Rourick and Carly Colligan. Mr. Rourick's family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the Brother Francis Shelter, 1021 E. 3rd Ave., Anchorage, 99501.
