Sammy Lovejoy- Eighty-two years old, of Woodville, Lincoln County, who died Wednesday in a Huntington Hospital, will be buried in Goldsberry Cemetery near Sias following funeral services to be conducted today at 1 p.m. at Collins Knob Baptist Church, near Sias, by the Rev Roy Withrow and the Rev Ebb Cummings. He was born in Lincoln County November 2, 1880.
Survivors include a son, Leroy Lovejoy of Woodville; three daughters, Mrs Dora Lambert of Ranger, Mrs Ella Elkins of Baltimore, and Mrs Effie Thompson of Ironton, and 34 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. The body has been taken to the home of Mrs Lambert at Ranger from the McGhee Funeral Home at West Hamlin.

I was reading the obit for Sammy Lovejoy (my grandfather) and noticed that my mother, Effie's married surname is wrong in the obit Thompson should be Johnson.

******Found this article in the Lincoln Republican dated Thursday Dec 3 1914... Believe this to be Samuel (Sammy) wife. - Mrs Sam Lovejoy died at her home last Monday. The funeral services were conducted by Revs F. Cummmings, Calloway Bragg and F.F. Adkins. The burial services were under auspices of the Jr. A. M.. There were about 300 people present.
The 7 years old chold of Same Lovejoy was servery burned last monday, One of Floyd Adkins grils was burnt at the same time.
