Funeral services were held Friday. January 4, for Ella L. Elkins, 69, of
Westminster RD 2 who died suddenly Tuesday morning, January 1, from a
heart attack. She was born in West Virginia She was a member
of the Westminster Church of God. She was a daughter of the late Samuel and Coretta
Adkins Lovejoy
She is survived by her husband, Furban Elkins; four daughters and five sons,
Mrs. Isolene Rhoten, Middleburg, Mrs. Coretta Lillibridge, Finksburg; Mrs.
Jean Scott, Westminster; Mrs. Naomi Bleakley, Hampstead, Grady L.
Elkins. Chase. Md.; Roscoe Elkins, Silver Run; Luther and Orvil F. Elkins, Bowie,
Md.; and Bernard T. Elkins, Lansdowne; two sisters and
one brother, Mrs. Dora Lambert, West Virginia; Mrs. Effie Johnson, Ohio;
and Leroy Lovejoy, West Virginia; and seventeen grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Thomas D. Fletcher
funeral home. 254 East Main street. Westminster, with her pastor. Rev. Joseph C.
Rowe, officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Her pallbearers were Grady L. Elkins, Jr., Robert Hildebrent, Terry W. Elkins,
Sr., Bernard T. Elkins, Jr., Tim Hazard and Larry
Jones,
