"Johnny Dale Sipes, 44, St Joseph, died Sunday, April 18, 1993, at a Kansas City hospital.

Born in Savannah, Mo., Mr. Sipes had lived in the Savannah and St Joseph areas all of his life. He was of the Protestant faith. In 1971, he married the former Diane Fetty at Savannah. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include his mother, Florence M. Sipes of Savannah; a daughter, Vickie McDonald of St Joseph; six brothers, David of Jefferson City, Mo., Dean of Vidor, Texas, Gilbert of Helena, Mo., Jack of Lebanon, Ky., and Ralph and Roy, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; five sisters, Becky Crumbaker of Wamego, Kan., Nancy Farmer of Kansas City North, Mary Moyer of Kansas City, and Carol and Christy Sipes, both of Savannah; and two grandchildren.

Services 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St Joseph. Burial in Savannah Cemetery." St Joseph News-Press, April 20, 1993
Mr. Sipes was preceded in death by his father, Homer L. Sipes, in 1972.
