Death of Mrs. Buck
Resident Here For Many Years Passed Away This Morning.
Mrs. Matilda Buck, of 615 North First street, widow of Edward Buck, passed away at her home this morning at 7:30 o'clock, following an illness lasting for two years. Some time ago she suffered a paralytic stroke and since that time had been in failing health. Her death was caused by complications. Mrs. Buck had resided in this city for almost half a century and she and her family came here in the early days of Arkansas City. She leaves two sons, one in this city, H.B. Corkins, and the other, W.D. Corkins, is a resident of Wichita. They were here at the time of her death. She was aged 64 years, 11 months and 15 days. The body is in charge of Parman-Powell. A sister of the deceased is on the way here from Bedford, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at the Parman-Powell chapel Saturday afternoon at two-thirty o'clock, in charge of Rev. G.W. McQuiddy. Interment will be made in Riverview cemetery.

The funeral of Matilda Buck will be held at the Parman-Powell chapel, Saturday, January 18 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Garrett W. McQuiddy will officiate. Interment will be in Riverview cemetery.
