From Eddie's granddaughter, Megan Temple, regarding her Pop-Pop:

He was the most genuine man of faith I have ever known. He loved God and loved people. We have received countless comments, messages, and calls of stories from people whose lives were touched by his love and kindness. He exuded Christ in every aspect- his words, his actions, his behaviors, his choices, etc. He never met a stranger and if he did, he told them that Jesus loved them. He was everything that a Christian should be. He lived life to the absolute fullest and in complete contentment. In his final days even in the hospital, he was concerned about whether or not he could still be a witness and testimony to people from his hospital bed or not. He didn't go a single hospital stay without praying with at least one nurse or staff member.

To know Pop-pop, is to love Pop-pop. Just like to know Jesus, is to love Jesus. I am so saddened he has left this earth, but I have never been more aware of eternity and have never savored the hope we have in Jesus more than I do now. I can't wait to be with Jesus someday, and with Pop-pop alongside me.
