Mr. Ross, 82, died Thursday, March 3, 2005 in Artesia.

Mr. Ross was born October 13, 1922 in Lakewood, New Mexico; the son of James Taylor Ross and Charity Frances (Brazeal) Ross.
On February 12, 1943 he was married to Ruby Bowman in Carlsbad, N.M. He was a lifelong resident of the Artesia area. He was a Blender for Navajo Refinery from which he retired in 1986. He previously worked as a farmer and was a member of Hermosa Drive Church of Christ.
Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Alton Ross, and a son Billy Joe Ross.
Survivors include his wife Ruby Ross of the family home; daughter Patricia Barber of Artesia, N.M.; brother Carl Ross of Arkansas; three sisters Jewel Hickam of Carlsbad, N.M., Myrtle Heard of Florida, and Bonnie Powell of Hope, N.M.; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
