Elmer served with his brother, Arthur, during WW I. They went overseas together but Arthur was killed. Elmer was greatly disturbed by the loss but managed to reconcile with his feelings. The photo of his grave stone was taken by Find A Grave member Diane (#46842343) and the family is much beholding to her for its use with this WW I veteran.
