Rites Held for Former Resident of Carbon Hill
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today in Stout Funeral Home, Nelsonville, for Mrs. Sarah Evans, 95, former resident of Carbon Hill, who died Friday at the residence of her daughter Mrs. Garnet Wilkinson of Willard, O.
Burial was in Carbon Hill Cemetery.
Widow of Benjamin Evans, she is survived by the daughter and two sons, Henry Evans of the Plains and Walter of Carbon Hill.

Two Pass Away
Two of our pioneer citizens passed away during the past two weeks. They were Mrs. Katie Lyons and Mrs. Sarah Evans. Both had been in failing health for some time.
Mrs. Lyons died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter Mr. And Mrs. Cecil Delaney in Columbus, where she and her husband George (Coony) had been staying since she became ill a year ago. Services were held in the Christian Church here, where she attended since childhood. She was laid to rest in the family plot here.
Mrs. Evans died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter Mr. And Mrs. Louis Wilkinson at Willard, where she had been for the past several months. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. Services were conducted at Stout Funeral Home in Nelsonville. Burial was made by the side of her husband in Carbon Hill Cemetery.
