Married Jessie Bain on January 12, 1888, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She was originally buried in the Forest Lawn Cemetery of Buffalo but reinterred (along with daughter Catherine, d: 1898) in the Acacia Cemetery a couple weeks before her husband's death.
