He was married and had six sons, Leopoldo and Alfredo of Alexander, Texas, Isabel of Durango, Mexico, Arturo and David of Fredericksburg, Texas and Jose Luis of Lingleville, Texas, and two daughters, Maria of Alexander, Texas and Juana DeLosReyes of Stephenville, Texas. Jose Galindo immigrated to Texas where he worked as a general laborer until he retired. He died, the same month as his grandaughter, Maria Carolina Lopez of Alexander, Texas. He was her maternal grandfather. Prior to his death, Jose Galindo resided in Tyler, Texas and was a patient in the University of Texas Health Center there.
