Revolutionary War - Adam Mattice , son of Nicholas Mattice and Sophia Ingolt, settled in Osnabruck Township in the Eastern District of Upper Canada on land granted to him in the fifth concession, for his loyalty and service to the Crown.

Adam and his wife Amanda Elizabeth Rupert had the following children receive land grants as the children of Loyalists. They are listed in the order they received their grants:

Sophia Mattice, o.c. 20 May 1817, married Frederick Winter of Osnabruck.
Nancy (Anna) Mattice, o.c. 20 May 1817.
