A Celebration of Bob's life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the Elias Funeral Home in Streator. Rev. Jane Esterline will officiate. Visitation will be from 12 noon till 2 p.m. at the Elias Funeral Home.

Bob was born November 4, 1954 in Streator, IL, the son of Robert H. and Rita A. (Bacha) Falling. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his children: Robert and David Falling and Alycia Battles; sister: Diane (Kevin) Gaede of Streator; brothers: Donald (the late Cynthia) Falling of Celebration, FL; Thomas Falling of Streator, IL; and James (Ana) Falling of Grand Rapids, MI; his aunt: Mary Biros of Streator; 7 nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends.

A member of Streator High School class of 1972, Bob graduated early and attended North Central College in Naperville and then travelled around the United States and Canada. Bob worked for several years with Vactor Manufacturing. Before returning to Streator, Bob lived in Baton Rouge, LA and Miami FL. He had a career in the insurance industry and had the distinction of being a licensed agent in all fifty states.

Bob volunteered his time to help others. He donated blood regularly and received multiple Red Cross gallon-donation pins. An expert and aggressive Euchre player, Bob stated that he never lost a game, although his partners lost many. He taught many young people to play chess. Bob was an avid reader, always curious about new ideas, and willing to give topics a serious debate. He had a keen sense of humor and would gladly let you know the latest joke. A craftsman at heart, Bob enjoyed carving custom-made walking sticks, crosses, and crucifixes.

Bob was a friend of Bill W. for over twenty years.

In part due to his superb dancing skills, Bob was known lovingly by family and close friends as "Big Bad Disco Bob".

Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
