A celebration of life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023.
Dave was born on August 5, 1952 to Wayne and Norma (Knapp) Roquet in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Hoover High School and worked as a construction framer. He owned and operated Dave Roquet Construction for many years. He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp.
Dave loved to live life to the fullest. He was an avid deep sea fisherman and would take his boat miles off the coast of Florida in search of good fishing. He enjoyed his job in construction and building things from scratch. Dave spend countless hours playing Yahtzee and Farkle with his family. He also enjoyed going to Vegas to play blackjack and getting his room and meals comped.
Dave is survived by his children, 2 sisters and 6 grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Jeff Roquet.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a veteran's charity of your choice.
