Dr. Foss and the former Minnie Erickson of the Aural church community near Fergus Falls were married in 1911 and had six children: Elizabeth( Brady) , James, Dorothy, ( Mrs. E.H. Cort) Ruth (Quinnild), Peggy ( Mrs. R.B. Jensen) and Alan.
In 1958 the Saddle and Sirloin Club of NDSU honored Dr. Foss, a past president of the North Dakota Veterinary Association , as North Dakota Agricultural Man of the Year and hung his portrait in the Hall of Fame at the N.D. State University.
Dr. Foss died in 1965 and Mrs. Foss in 1967. from pg. 29 of " A Centennial History of the City of Christine and Eagle Township , Between Two Rivers, 1883- 1983."
