Jan Reese Andrew - dedicated wife, mother, and friend of many- passed away on October 6, 2022, at the age of 75 in Kerrville, Texas. Jan was born on November 11, 1947, to James Lennie (Big Daddy) Reese and Johnnie Beck Reese in Dallas, Texas. She and Jack attended the First United Methodist Church in Kerrville, Texas.
She attended high school in McCamey, Texas, and often talked about living there as the "happiest days of her life."
After High School, her friendly personality suited her assisting others in various financial institutes for many years. Jan's passion was grounded in volunteering. She was a proud member of the Sweetwater Jaycees, where she helped organize toy drives and fund college scholarships. In addition, Jan was an active volunteer at the Dietert Center, whose mission is to promote healthy aging and provide rewarding volunteer opportunities in Kerrville.
Jan recently earned her 18-year sobriety chip and was proud of this daily accomplishment. She was willing to share her recovery journey and actively sponsored others who were going through similar struggles. Jan was always kind; a friend to all and sought to find the good in others.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Andrew, who she loved dearly as well as her sister, Len Reese Arnold, daughter Shari Lynn Rhodes of Garden City, Texas, Sheryl Ann Mills and husband Marc of Pleasanton, Texas, Dawn Andrew of McCamey, Texas., son Stephan James Moody and wife Hilda of Midland, Texas, grandsons' Brenton Brock Rhodes of Garden City, Texas, Jason Marcus Mills and wife Sienna of Pleasanton, Texas, granddaughters' Emily Moody of Lubbock, Texas and Sarah Moody of Dallas, Texas, Parker & Remi, her beloved dogs, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Lennie and Johnnie Reese.
